Who the heck is Matt?
I'm so jealous of everywhere this guy must have been & everything that he must have experienced along the way! Especially right about now when I am at about two days without even stepping foot outside my front door! I am so grateful for indoor plumbing & quality tissue right about now.
Ok, back to my nap time & more hokey lifetime movies.

RX: Laughter

It is official, I have the Carolina Crud.
My head is pounding & I just want to curl up & pass out til this is all out of my system. Yuck.
Still I believe that in addition to liquids, rest & vitamins, laughter is the best medicine. Oh & everyone actually WASHING THERE HANDS OFTEN! I highly advise it! The running statistic is that one in five people don't wash their hands when they go to the bathroom! Think about that one for a moment.... ew..
So today the site is Laughter.com, where this made me smile (I would have laughed but it hurts in my chest & I'm too busy coughing):A man goes into a pet shop to buy a parrot. The shop owner points to three identical birds and says: "The parrot to your left costs $500." The man asks,"Why does the parrot costs so much?" The owner says,"Well, it knows how to use a computer. He can diagnose system bugs." The customer asks about the next parrot and is told,"That one costs $1000 because it can do everything the other parrot can do plus it knows how to configure and use UNIX." Naturally, the increasingly startled man asks about the third parrot and is told, "That one costs $2000." Needless to say, this begs the question, "What can IT do?" The owner shrugs and replies, "To be honest I've never seen it do a thing, but the other two call him Boss!"

ink think
So I have a friend who has decided to get a tattoo for her birthday & wanted input on what to get this year. I have thought here & there over the years about what I would get if I wasn't afraid of needles & if I thought I could decided on something that wouldn't get old over time. Who wants one that they end up regretting?Anyway lead me to thinking what do tattoos really mean. Each as a special meaning to the person who gets it, but overall what does each image mean. Like a dream dictionary for ink.

Puzzling
With so many things in life that seem to be so hard to figure out, its nice to take a break & solve a few things. A meditative ego boost. So when is the last time you actually took time to do a puzzle? The jigsaw, picture type?
I have so many memories of a separate table that was out at my grandma's house for holidays or anytime she knew that we were all coming.
It was a great place to have random conversations with whoever. Funny what you learn & confess while looking to fit little chunks of cardboard together to make a copy of the image on the box. All knowing that afterward all you will have left are the memories as it crumbles back into the box.
I wish I had room in my house to set up a puzzle table. Or even one at work in the break room...although that would lead to some really long breaks I'm sure!
Til then, I have the online version to keep me occupied.
*& WE ALWAYS KNEW WHICH AUNT SNEAKED THE LAST PIECE AWAY SO SHE COULD BE THE ONE TO PUT THE "FINAL" PIECE IN! ;)

Just the facts please.
Remember back in school all the books they would have on the yearly reading list. And how at times life just got in the way of making it through all the pages of War & Peace or whatever epic novel that the professor / teacher thought you had the time & interest in reading? What did we always seem to turn to? CLIFF NOTES!Of course the professor had access to them as well, so they could write the test to quiz you on everything else in the book that was not cover in the Cliff Notes, but we still thought we could get by at times. At least they gave us enough of an idea to be able to talk about the main plot points of the subject!
Now there is an online free version, Sparknotes.
Interesting reading & a good refresher on topics for those of us who are now out of school. And for anyone in school, just be careful. They have just as easy access as you do & of course the only one you are really cheating is yourself.... but from a gal in the "real world", you will never be asked to quote The Secret Life of Walter Mitty! ;)
